Twisted Trunk

Another good nights sleep for both of us :-)

I was off to meet sis at midday, whilst hub went to collect his prescription.

The traffic was lighter than usual, probably due to some half term breaks. When I got to sis's,, her car was there, dog was asleep in his basket, but no answer. I assumed she'd popped out, so took the chance to take my camera across the road to the fields in search of today's blip. It was very muddy underfoot. I had red suede boots on, so didn't really want to get them "messed" up........but then I spotted this old twisted tree and thought Aha, that will make an interesting shot!

The sis saga continued, no answer on the home phone, her mobile switched off, sent texts, no replies......I arrived at 11.45 and by 12.35 I was getting worried, reluctantly rang BiL, he said he thought she had an appointment but then he got worried as she had had a pain in her chest for a couple of days. I walked to the address of her possible appointment hovered a little, the turned around and started to walk back, when I heard " I'm here" sis came running round the corner. She had had a massage booked, the massuer was running half an hour late!!! She had sent me a text, but it had t been delivered!!! Alls well that ends well as they say!! :-)

We eventually got to mums, via a sandwich shop, about 1.30....a valuation booked for 2pm. Then a quick dash to Sainsbury's, before heading back to sis's to complete the final probate and IHT forms.....what a nightmare! Talk about read, re-read and then read the guidance notes, and still not be entirely certain you've got it right. Anyhow they are done now!
We are almost ready to put mums bungalow on the market too......hopefully,someone will come along that loves it as much as mum and dad did :-)

By the time we'd finished the paperwork it was dark, BiL was home from work, and it was rushhour, so I decided to stay on for an hour to let the traffic die down a little, eventually got home at 7.15pm, roads were still chocca!!

We've had griddled pork chop, baby spinach leaves, topped with beetroot wedges, spring onions, toasted hazelnuts dressed with balsamic vinegar and olive oil, with sliced advocado and crumbled feta cheese. The combination of feta and beetroot works really well together :-) it was lovely!
