An Amazing Old Lady

This is the face of an exceptional old lady who lives in a field adjacent to my house. The farmer tells me she is a Texel/Herdwick cross that was reared by hand eighteen years ago. He has a special soft spot for this animal who is now being left to live out the rest of her life in peace. She has seen many sheep come and go in her field, and will soon witness the latest batch of lambs. Her fleece is tatty and she has arthritis in her knees, but she still has quality of life, and loves the high energy lick in the tub by the gate - as you can see from her face!
