Today's the day ........................... for the lull after the storm

What a difference a day makes.

After all the bother with Doris yesterday, we woke up to a beautiful morning today - blue skies, sun - the lot.  There was no wind to speak of and it was actually warm as I walked along the bank of the River Kent.  The school children are on half term holiday here this week and they were out enjoying the sunshine too.

The almond blossom is always the first to appear.  It was lovely to find these delicate flowers reminding us that spring is just round the corner - even if it was far from everyone's thoughts yesterday .......................
