Surprise find

Clearing Hilda's clothes and things today I found a tin box containing this little locket (just 1.8cm high). A bit battered - looks as if it could have been bitten - by a baby? - but it still opens to reveal Hilda and Carlos on their wedding day in 1941. There was also a tie pin/bar brooch with the badge of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers - presumably Carlos' regiment during WW2.
I have never seen these before - tomorrow I will send the tin and its contents to Ian - a very sentimental little treasure
