Fresh air...light...calm

Much more my cup of tea!

Earlier in the week I received a text from work to ask if I could work the youth group shift today. As I hadn't worked the youth group for a while with being away and had nothing else planned I agreed.

Before checking the calendar.

Big mistake.

We have a calendar that outlines each week's activities. This week's? Trip to Edinburgh Dungeons.

It has never been a place I have been particularly keen to visit and is a place I will certainly not go to again! While the rest of the group were getting lunch I decided to quickly nip into the Dungeons to confirm pricing - a couple of flights of stairs, a dark corridor and ticket area later and this decision was already made for me.

You have to understand that I used to not like being in the caravan on holiday as a child when it was so dark that I couldn't see my hand in front of my face. I still don't like that kind of darkness.

In some ways it was a giggle for the sheer hilarity of it all. And thankfully I didn't get "picked on" by the actors, except as a group of staff when we had sat at the back for something...

But still - never again!

Just as well I had an evening with the lovely Lorraine planned :] I hadn't seen her since everything finished up for the summer and in fact hadn't had much course mate chat over the summer at all. So talking to someone else about looming placement and fourth year was great! We had a good life, love & everything type chat to catch-up and blether, ate some nibbles and watched Mama Mia - just brilliant :]

Time to hit the hay :] tomorrow - church & afternoon tea! :]
