Cutting the birthday cake
Last night I went to the joint 60th birthday ceilidh for two of my friends. It was a change to have chance to dance instead of play and I really enjoyed it.
I knew the vast majority of people there, a lot of us had been in the local mixed morris side and have been friends for over 30 years. It was great catching up with people that I rarely see, a brilliant evening.
H, the lady in the photo made this beautiful canal lock birthday cake (the birthday lady used to live on a narrowboat). The cake is the extra photo. The photo is of the cake being cut into pieces by H who baked it. E. the birthday boy is watching and F is there with his glass of beer.
I'm off to part two of the celebrations this afternoon - a music session in a pub in Ellesmere.
