Hidden history

The small market town of Rugeley is just next door to Lichfield. I've been through it and past it so often on the main roads but today I had a reason to go into the old town centre.

As with so many places, they have pedestrianised parts of the town, including the area near to this old Market building.

Two great friends from Scotland, who I know from meeting them a few times in Madeira, were visiting their daughter and they took me out to lunch in the centre of Rugeley.

It was a lovely lunch, in a nice little cafe.

And it was fabulous to sit there, chat, catch up and enjoy their company.
