It was....... Perfect!!!.....

...... the sponge cake..... the company.... the whole day!

They are indeed an amazing bunch of young people! How lucky am I?! We have had a lovely walk and picnic (thank you weather!) and then, this evening we sat at the dinner table for at least 3 hours - eating, talking and mostly laughing! (now I have retired to my 'boudoir' and left them all to clear up!) but I can still hear them laughing! D

I remember similar lovely times when I was growing up! - we would cook, talk, eat, play music, and mostly laugh.... a lot! My Mum was quite ill and my Dad was quite grumpy (I now understand why) but we still loved and laughed! The best medicine!!
