Pissup in a distillery
As you may have read in various other Blips by Technophobe, Coffeepotter and Nikonabike we visited the Cotswolds Distillery for a most interesting tour and gin tasting (among other spirits)
This image shows a distorted reflection of the tour group in the copper still. In the extras you can see barrels of malt whisky undergoing maturation. These barrels are only 2 years old so can't be called whisky until they have matured for 3 years and 1 day. The barrels with names on have been purchased for £2995. This sounds to be quite a bargain for 400 bottles (roughly £7.50 per bottle) but when you want to collect it you must pay to have it bottled and pay customs duty and VAT.
We went for a walk afterwards and I felt quite 'tired' when we got home.
