Scenes From Myakka

We drove perhaps 30 miles to Myakka River State Park, to take an airboat ride. When we arrived (10;30 a.m.), they were boarding the last boat of the day...because of the strong winds. The boat ride was not to be.

So, we saw a few gators (5), shimmied up a palm tree, and walked on a swinging bridge...high up in a forest canopy.

Of the pictures...the boy (and Dad) are real, the gators and osprey are real, but the owl is stuffed.
