Stolen photo
I failed to take a picture today - my excuse is that I'm flying solo with the children, but that's about the worst excuse ever. Coincidently, my mother in law sent me some pictures of the flowers in her garden, so crediting her - Zimbabwe flowers are photo of the day (thank you Gill - got me out of a photographic spot!)
The flowers in my mother in law's garden are just spectacular and it's just the most lovely garden overlooking the damn. There are a couple of zebra who have adopted the 'home' heard, and are often outside the gates, which one of the many very special things about the farm.
Back to reality with a bump, rather than daydreaming about gardens far away, husband away today and back tomorrow. We had a great day at play group and then messing about at home. The youngest is getting himself around in his own little fashion, which the eldest finds delightful. One of the many things I love is when the youngest wakes up from his nap, which is generally after the eldest has woken up, and the squeal of delight from both as they are reunited. They are a proper little pair who love each others company (most of the time, it's not to say life is not without the odd altercation between them).
We're off to collect some clothes for the eldest tomorrow from an ebay purchase that I thought was going to be posted to us. Thankfully it's only about an hour away and there's a National Trust place not to far from where we will be. So we're making a bit of a morning of it and having a picnic there before heading back. Fingers crossed it will all work fine!
