Choices

This week has been one of choices. At a personal level, what frames do I select from my new specs as my eyesight (which is still extremely good) continues its very slow gradual deterioration?

Today, faced with a number of competing priorities, which do I chose? Whatever is not prioritised will have a downside.

Earlier this week we made a choice, as a senior management team, about the direction of the organisation. With the Board we have agreed that, within existing resources, ŵe need to become more outward facing. But that means revisiting everyone's job description and the structure of the organisation, prioritising some resources over others. Not everyone's wish can be accommodated. And there is so much more we could do. But for the time being we need to optimise what we've got.

The selection process will not end at the weekend as more choices will need to be made as we move towards decisions on colours of tiles,types of floor coverings, budget and so on. At least we have a family celebration to look forward to.
