Diary of an Edinburgher

Fun and games

Becky came to collect Archie this morning, and then Leo and his mum came over for lunch. They were surprised with the quiet (ie lack of barking) welcome. But he did make up for it when he arrived back and found them in his house.

We had lunch - Nigella's spring chicken (scrumptious) and Julia Child's cherry cloufoutis (equally scrumptious), but Leo was desperate to finish and get hold of my iPad to continue with some of my games that he started on his last visit with his dad.

He brought his (non-ipad) game of the moment, a balancing one. Archie watched grudgingly.

I had another go at getting my new printer to work. I don't read instructions, just press buttons in different sequences, and hey presto, eventually it worked! Unfortunately, the page I printed out from the travel insurance, was not a page, but twenty of 'em, and I didn't know how to/ didn't want to force stop it. However, it is a year's insurance, so that's not quite so much a waste of paper.

Leo's mum has suggested I go her acupuncturist. He's half the price of everyone else in town, so I might as well give it a go. I'm getting worked up for another onslaught on the knees starting this week - my local gym (maybe swimming too), NHS gym class, and acupuncture. I have to get fit for my holidays, the first of which is next month!
