The news of our recent loss hit the local press today....it was handled and reported sensitively....but it's out there now.

A colleague informed me today that when she heard the word "I have some very bad news...." on Monday she thought it was me who had died! I know I was ill over the holiday but you don't get rid of me that easily.

Another sad day at work....some of us are struggling to come to terms with recent events.

Just to put the tin hat on a crap week I also was informed today that I have to take extra pupils into one of my groups taking the numbers up to 27....for a practical subject.....and I have to change syllabus for another group.....I've spent a year teaching one syllabus getting them ready for Controlled Assessments and exams...and now I have just over 6 months to get them through a totally different specification.

Roll on retirement.

I need to sleep now....I'll catch up with the comments tomorrow.
