Sophie, aka Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary ....

With the fine weather, Sophie insisted that we get her watering can out of the garage so that she could water the flowers. As you can see, in true contrary fashion, she was more interested in watering the garden ornaments.

She's similarly contrary when it comes to other things too. She'd been telling Kate as they drove over this morning that she was looking forward to taking Grandma & Granddad for their regular fort nightly session of Rhyme Time at the Library.

As always, she happily sat through the session taking it all in but steadfastly refusing to sing or join in with the actions. Of course, as soon as we came out at the end of the session she sang all the rhymes all the way back down the High Street; she's definitely going to be her own person!

Thanks for the concern for Joel and his car yesterday. It turned out that the spar that connects the wheel to the axle had rusted and the jolt from the pothole was enough to finish it off. No serious damage done to him or anyone else thankfully so just a case of waiting to hear if it's worth repairing.
