Howick Hall
First I went for a run, then TT went for a run. We took a while to get going, but eventually we ended up just down the coast from Alnmouth at Warkworth. First stop was the castle – I am sure that I have said before that it is one of TT’s favourite castles, and is great for exploring. We then went for a wander through the town, stopping off for a lovely lunch, before a wander by the river.
Our next stop was Howick Hall. There was much debate about whether to go to the tea room before or after our walk. It was eventually decided that we would go after, as BB had an Easter egg hunt to do. It didn’t take long and we then had a lovely walk through the gardens and the arboretum, before ending up back at the tea room. We even had the highlight of spotting a red squirrel on one of the bird feeders, and meeting a lost goldcrest!
We finished our day off with a curry.
Here is Howick Hall, the home of Earl Grey – he of the tea! The extra shows the tiny dazed goldcrest.
