Wallington In The Mist
I didn’t go for a run this morning, so read my book and enjoyed the peace. We headed over to Wallington to meet TT’s sister and brother in law. We have spent some wet and cold days here with them, but we were lucky today it was only misty. We went on our usual route. Down through the garden, which seemed very bare and then down to the stepping stones. The field was incredibly muddy and the stepping stones were impassable, so we had to take a detour along the road, before re-joining the Wallington path. We continued up to the pnds and the bird hide. We sat in the hide for a while, but saw very little birdlife, apart from nuthatches but no squirrels. Next stop was the café for lunch.
We then decided to take a look around the house – which none of us had done for years. We spent ages looking at the natural history collection - made up of all kinds of interesting and weird and wonderful stuff. We then parted company and headed home in separate directions. It was still dry when we got back, so we had a last walk and then TT made tea with whatever he could find in the fridge. BB and I watched Wonder.
You can just see TT and his sister through the mist.
