A Slice of Light
As we set off from Arolla to the Pas de Chèvres this morning, I had to stop and take this photo as all the colourful people ahead of us stepped out of the shadow into the sunlight! Of course stopping for photos means that I am always behind but my two companions were glad I took the camera with me. The Glacier and mountain views were spectacular today, and from the Col (extra) you could see the Matterhorn peeping over the opposite ridge. I practically crawled up the last section to get there, the heat and brightness of the sun reflecting off the snow was so enervating.
Now home and sneezing violently, hay fever season has started. Thanks for all the enthusiasm for the Snow Gentians yesterday, I can hardly see to type this so commenting will be minimal this evening.
