Tiny Tuesday - Lichen
Ok, so the individual lichen is tiny, but the stones on which this lichen thrive are part of the largest stone circle in Europe! Today was sunny and so I took a post-Beltane bimble on Morrigan, down to Avebury. The extras show a few of the stones, and a random walker for a sense of scale. It all looks very tidy and well mowed, but I suppose the millions of feet that pass over this ancient ritual complex mean that returning is a perpetual exercise. I've also put a mono of one of my most favourite copses of trees, the beeches in the eastern section.
