Baby

Today was one of the worst I've had here. I accompanied a friend to the hospital as she had her baby by c section. It was a long old day. I witnessed horrendous rudeness, lack of sympathy, incompetence. I got so angry with a Dr who after keeping us waiting for 5 hours insisted a man has to come and sign the operation consent because a woman can't possibly do that (are we only half people?). I hope I didn't dishonor the Lord in my anger. I ended up joining a family as they grieved their baby who didn't make it. It was awful. We all cried so much. Sorry to moan but I'm so sad about this lovely country and what women have to put up with.
