2nd January - take a trip somewhere new

Every year on the 2nd January we always go as a family for a trip in the car to blow away any remaining cobwebs, have a walk, grab something to eat and aim to be home around tea time - originally so we could get S bathed / fed/ bed at a normal time before starting school again - now its cause we usually knackered!

This year we decided to head to Alnwick.
Castle, gardens and me with a new camera - yip - should get some blips
Castle and gardens shut
Pretty bridge - dug up and JCBs all over it, which would test my never before used skills on photoshop to the max,
Weather grotty - damp and murky.
No option but to hoof it up the hill into town.
Passing a pub and thought - hmmm - I think I might recognise this landlord
