Heron about to strike...

When I took Zoe for a walk this afternoon there was another dog owner standing at the bridge looking down the river. He pointed out this heron to me about ten yards further down stream. The heron was so focussed on a possible catch that he did not seem to mind the dogs in the vicinity. Sadly he did not make his strike so I was not able catch him with food in his mouth and he eventually flew off. There's an extra of him in more relaxed mode on the bank.
