Whitethroat
Bitterns gently booming, a cuckoo calling incessantly across the reedbeds as the warmth of the sun sent quivers of heat like a mirage in the distance over Minsmere .
A four hour drive across to RSPB Minsmere and what a glorious afternoon. This little whitethroat hiding in the trees and bushes really didn't want to be blipped but I kept on his case.
My extra although it looks like a shoelace is in fact an adder skeleton - the first ever found at Minsmere and only today too. I was lucky enough to be around when it was being photographed
