The meadow

Our wildflower meadow is developing well.

Yesterday having been beautiful weather, but working in the garden a washout due to car issues, today was literally a washout - it has rained, to a greater or lesser degree all day.  It finally stopped about an hour ago. 

The garden, and particularly the pond, were in desperate need, so I shouldn't complain.  But of course the weeds grow faster than the wanted plants.  So I hope that the bit of blue sky visible this evening spreads, and we have a fine day tomorrow for weeding. 

Of course, as we couldn't work in the garden we "had" to go to the local garden centre, which was having a 20% off day, and have bought yet more plants.  And W's gardening club is having a plant sale tomorrow, so we will go there, and no doubt buy more stuff.  There is another new bed to plant up.
