A slice of Lesley's life

Resilience and Joy

The main themes of the book I was attempting to read when the persistent puppy wore me down to play with her. Her method of bringing every toy she can find and one by one laying them on your lap, combined with genuine puppy eyes is a pretty successful one. Though now she is the grand old age of 2 and very nearly half she does have a play limit and eventually wandered off to let me read.

Which was splendid as reading is one of my constants. As is some form of exercise. I realised today that 2016 saw far too little of both of them but with concerted efforts they are both restored with a reassuring degree of regularity. This afternoon/evening has been particularly successful with a lovely swim before the reading.

A good day for J - science lesson and a maths lesson in school.

And a long one for Anna who will effectively have been out for 12hours of school and musical theatre rehearsal with a swift 45min pizza and change of clothes interlude. One more run out to collect her and then a gentle slide into the weekend awaits.
