Lilly (Day 744)
It was raining heavily as I wandered up the hill with the woofers this morning. There was thick, low cloud hanging just above the top of the hill. The dogs and I didn't hang around, returning home to warm up and dry out. As the morning slipped by, the day turned more grey, but the rain eased around lunchtime and my beautiful wife took the dogs to Wasdale. There seemed little point in taking the camera out and I returned home blipless.
It was soon time for HV to head off to work and I pottered around the house doing a few things, before spending a little while trying to get a decent shot of the lilies. This is about as good as it gets. I should have dug out the tripod and done it properly, but it isn't too bad for hand held, manual focus whilst shining a torch on the flower.
Fingers crossed for better weather tomorrow, and the chance of a landscape shot, and perhaps a bike ride.
