Messin' around on the river

Warm in London today, so we took a boat trip on the Thames from Hampton Court to Kingston, both places full of history. After lunch we returned to Hampton Court and had a walk round the Wilderness and inspected the new Kitchen Garden.

Walking through the Tilt Yard, now a peaceful place of grass and large trees, it was hard to imagine it back in the early 1500s, when it was used for jousting competitions between knights!

My Blip today is of the palace from the river. My extra is a mother duck and young trying to get out of the way of the boat.
