Ode to Joy

A little bit of joy and celebration for Abstract Thursday having reached its 100th week - thanks to youoregon1 who started all this creativity, and thanks to Ingeborg for keeping it going. Not terrifically abstract today but hopefully a bit joyful.

A great start to Fastnet Film festival last night. Supper in Schull followed by a showing of  the  Secret Scripture introduced by the director Jim Sheridan who was interviewed afterwards. The critics mostly slated the film but I have to say we both really enjoyed it - beautiful to look at, very sad and some towering performances from Vanessa Redgrave and Rooney Mara. The place was packed and the film glitterati are in town! A night in tonight then more of the same tomorrow.

Please do not mention heatwaves for we are stuck in midgy, damp mist :(. I know, in the scale  of things ........
