Magic Moment

After a late breakfast we spent the afternoon on Agios Georgios beach at the end of Hersonissos town. So nicely tucked away that if you didn't know you'd not believe it was only a ten minute walk to bustling shopping area.

Mrs BB was meeting up with a greek friend at 6pm. I collected her at 8pm and we set off on the coast road to Heraklion Airport to collect a couple of good friends, Kel & Mandy, that are spending the week out here in a hotel about 100 metres from ours.

The blip photo was taken as the sun was setting as we drove through Kato Gouves on the old coast road to the airport. It looks like I stopped in just the right place to catch the glimmering setting sun on the waves and sand of the beach where a father and daughter were playing.

After dropping their suitcases at their hotel we hit the Irish bar to have a few drinks and get them settled in to the greek way. They stayed in the village last year when we were here so they know how good it is.

We eventually got back to our apartment at 1am. A late night but a chance to catch up on any lost sleep around the pool tomorrow.
