Missing
We are really worried about Simba, as he has not come home for 48 hours and this is most unlike him. He was behaving rather oddly a couple of days ago and wouldn't come indoors or anywhere near us, although there were no signs of any external injures or that he was in any pain.
A young sparrow had flown into one of our windows and broken its neck and before we could get out to remove it, Simba had grabbed it and proceeded to devour it. Sorry if you are squeamish, but that's what cats do and at least he didn't kill it. We are left wondering if this was the reason for his strange behaviour - perhaps some bones or feathers had got stuck in his system? He was fine that evening and lay between us on the sofa as usual, snoring away.
However, the next morning he didn't want anything to eat and spent all day and night outdoors. We both saw him in the garden at different times and then he just disappeared and hasn't been seen by anyone since. We're hoping he just has an upset stomach and will come home when he's better, but who knows?
Fingers crossed for good news of him.
