Financial ruin has caught up with me...
... thanks to this little bit of kit.
I checked my bank account this morning, to find out I am overdrawn. Eh???
Before I left for my holiday, I rang my service provider to ask about data bundles, knowing I would want to use the internet to keep in touch with people and to Blip. I can't remember the exact wording of what they offered me, but what I heard was £3 for 30Mb per day or £15 for a month. Obviously, I knew I'd use the internet on more than five days, so it made sense to me to pay £15 for 30Mb a day for a month.
What I'm now grasping, having come back to bills for July/August and August/September which equate to slightly more than a mortgage payment, is that the offer was for £15 for 30Mb for the month, not per day. I'd say I went over that on day 2...
So, conned by my provider's ambiguous wording, or just really naive? You decide (they've made their decision).
What I would say though is that, if you're expecting a Christmas present from me, it may not this year be the gift of your dreams...
