There's a famous scene from Frankie Howard's 'Up Pompei' when he's forced to join the army and they are asked to count off. Being romans they say I, II, III and IV wherein the officer says Ivy? what sort of name is that for a chap? It's meant to be funny.

My grandfather's name was Ivie and my father's had it as his middle name, so it's not, there you go.
