A Forest Detail
We seem to have spent the day sitting at the kitchen table. We weren't idle but the rain and mist this morning weren't conducive to going out, and we had various admin jobs to do; paying bills, working out tax, making phone calls and preparing for a meeting to help some friends.
As evening rolled around we decided we had to get outside so we headed out along a forest track and kept going until runkeeper informed us we'd gone 3 km. (We try to do 6 km every day.)
Along the way we'd found an impressive beaver dam, 50 meters long and big enough to walk on, but very difficult to photograph so you can see the scale! I tried to persuade Jan to walk out to the middle to provide that scale, but she declined. Then I balanced out onto it and Jan blipped it!
So in the end my Blip is of a forest floor detail. A small stream, mosses, marsh marigolds, spindly firs and stronger birches. It's almost a random photograph though my eye was drawn in by the yellow of the marigolds.
A hung Parliament predicted - a better result than I dared to hope for. Maybe June is the end of May!
