The Old Manor House

I spent a lot of today being quietly furious at Theresa May's take on the London attack at the weekend. To hear her, you wouldn't suspect that, prior to being Prime Minister, she spent six years as Home Secretary. And then we had that buffoon Johnson saying Corbyn couldn't be trusted with national security, hot on the heels of the third attack in, what, nine weeks on his government's watch.

Still, there's nothing like a nice walk to soothe the soul and this evening I walked the long way 'round to Booths to buy supper for me, Dan and Abi. I need to get quite a few steps in so at the Swine Market I took the left turn down the steep lane to the river,

Once upon a time, most of Kirkby Lonsdale, the town, was clustered around this area, near the church, including this building, The Old Manor House. Wisely, there aren't many houses any further down the hillside. Well, not until recently: there are two down there now, both damaged by the floods 18 months ago.
