Rose (and her red shoes)
Our very good friend Rose and I were out again today picking off more of the orienteering checkpoints in the scheme I described last Sunday. Checkpoint 35 can be seen in the extra, neatly nestled between two rocks. The idea is that the checkpoint should be obvious if you are in the right place but hard to see if you aren't. Apart from a brief burst of blue sky, which coincided with us arriving at a place with a lovely view (extra 2) the damp, white sky weather continued all day.
Jan was at home because the milky damp weather does not encourage sufferers of rheumatism to go running around the wet undergrowth. Check her Blip of the prints she created, before the sun came out at home and she did heroic things in the garden!
Just as an aside, Rose, who recently celebrated her 70th birthday, had already done a 7 km walk this morning before we set off on this 9 km trip after lunch. She's in training for walking the Portuguese Camino de Santiago in August. An inspiration to us younger pensioners!
