Juvenile Great Spotted Woodpecker

Over winter we haven't seen the Great Spotted Woodpecker.  However recently they have returned.  Today was the first day that a fledgling came along with its Mum.  We have introduced a "woodpecker log" into the feeding station.  The log hangs and we can introduce peanuts, fat etc into the holes.

The rest of the day was mainly taken up by Clickychick finishing some work for a client.  However we took time off for lunch at the Lama Karma Kafe.  An upside down African Grey parrot almost won as today's blip.  The Kafe has interest for kids with Doves, Marmosets, Giant Rabbits,the Parrots and two Lama's.
