Open Day

We've had a brilliant day today. She started the day with some practice before we walked to band. She did exam practice on the exam room piano after band. We were then walking to the pound shop and spotted a friend of ours. She told us about an open day that was happening at the shopping centre. There were loads of free craft things and it was brilliant! In one area where the craft fair was, there was a big kids creating area. She made a crown and cape. We went into the second space and there were loads of demos going on, accompanied by a group of great sax players. She watched a lady making a clay pot. We then found a marbelling artist who was offering free tries to children, which is what Katie is doing in the photo. It was wonderful, she spent her whole day helping children create a canvas. Katie's is pink, lime green and silver for her bedroom.

We headed for home and a bit of clarinet practice before it was time to go out to the tea event we were meeting friends at. A local church was having a buffet with crafts for people across the towns churches. The food was lovely, the company was great and the kids had a fab time. From there I took katie and lydia to youth club where we rounded off the day with a jam packed session! It wasn't at all surprising that she was rather hot and bothered by the end!
