A touch of ringing

I made a rare appearance in the belfry at Bierton this evening. Campanology is one of the skills I have acquired in life and in my teenage years I was quite good. I don't often ring now though with other things filling my time but turn out occasionally. It's one of those skills, like riding a bike, you never actually forget even though the knowledge is rusty and has faded.
On Sunday the Bishop is coming to Bierton for a confirmation service and so the troops have been rallied. Son Edward has also been roped in (sort of intended pun). A couple of extra ringers makes all the difference so we'll be there. Briefly.
