Tides coming in
After Father's Day conversations with our son in New Zealand and daughter in London we headed off to the beach at Teignmouth as the weather is so hot and sunny. The tide was coming in as we walked along the sea wall towards Holcombe so there wasn't much of the beach left for bathing but we managed. Well my husband had several swims but it still too cold for me, but I had some good paddles.
Later one we discovered East Cliff gardens and had a wander through them finding the Dell, a sub-tropical garden with three ponds and a walled garden which is currently undergoing restoration. Next a stroll through Teignmouth where a folk festival was taking place and a peek at the harbour area. So much activity on this very hot sunny day.
