A River Runs Through It

Not very original, but absolutely true! This is the River Stinchar and it's just at the bottom of the garden. That's one of our new best friends in the picture too - the whole place is surrounded by them, as they're bred on the estate.

Had to change all our plans today because of lousy weather. We walked round the harbour at Girvan in pouring rain and decided the forest walk we had hoped to do wasn't such a clever idea. Instead, we visited a local pottery and had a lovely tea in the village tearoom. Very relaxing. Maybe we'll do the walk tomorrow ........:)
