Fiesta!

Today has all been about parties...first up we had Dave & Liz over this morning...today's Dave's birthday so we made cakes & bought helium balloons...it was so nice to spend time with them. I think birthdays in a new place can be very strange & quite lonely, so we were glad we could have them over for a mini celebration. There's an extra of him.
Then straight on to school for a surprise do for Asha's teacher! We all had to make something, so I'd made an apricot tarte tatin last night... The parents had all clubbed together for a piece of jewellery for Susi...lovely to just be there and mingle a bit...the blip is of Juan, the caretaker... He is such a lovely man! The kids & parents all love him.
Then this afternoon we headed over to a beach club in San An for Dave's surprise birthday do! The 24-7 team were there too...the kids swam, we had cake & sang (for the second time today!) & enjoyed being together. 
Then from there to Caña Club...what a JOY to hang out with these guys each week.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) A really lovely morning with D&L, deepening friendship and having a giggle.
2) Susi...what a gift she's been to Asha and to us. We'll miss her.
3) Caña Club - i love those guys more each week.
