Every Picture Tells a Story ......

* The well surfaced path is new. The cyclist here would not have been able to cycle this stretch of the Bridgewater Canal a year ago. A successful scheme.

* The Canal itself is popular with boaters. This section always has a number of narrowboats moored along it. Wild Ishie is the nearest boat.

* The Shared ownership housing which sits along the Canal is very recent, and I think works well. I wouldn't mind living next to a Canal.

* The refurbished flat blocks have been popular with residents. Owned by City West, an RSL, fire safety measures will be being reviewed in the light of the disaster in London. City West have given assurances to residents who will be understandably worried. Greater Manchester's Mayor has set up  a task-force, led by Salford's City Mayor, to review all the blocks across GM.

* And today is the Summer Solstice, with some refreshing rain mixed in with the warmth

As the title says - every picture tells a story (also a good Rod Stewart album, which betrays my age ) !
