A Room With A View

The first night of our trip to London for the Paralympics. This is the view from our room at night of the Olympic park. Orla and I flew from Glasgow to London City and Ed met us there. We're staying in the Holiday Inn in Stratford, so it was a short hop on the DLR. It was a bit bizarre arriving at Stratford. It almost felt like being in some kind of futuristic space port - lots of people, music, lights and shiny metal. We had some food and then went to bed, intending to have an early start on Friday. But Orla woke up at 3am with ear-ache and then was awake until 7, crying. Her dad went out then to get Calpol and Ibuprofen. After we'd dosed her up, we all went back to sleep.
