City walls

The Dubrovnik City Walls are said by no lesser an authority than the Lonely Planet guide to be the "finest in the world." There were some splendid views of the city rooftops, a colourful dish, the chance to look down on the street scene and some proper posers. We were advised to set off early on the 2km walk, to avoid the crowds and the heat.  The crowds were still considerable at 8:50am and the heat was stifling.

Yesterday evening we took the cable car to the top of Mount Srd (sic) for great views of the setting sun. A popular destination.
