These two were so happy to be reunited thanks to the power of modern technology. Close to 3 weeks apart, 3 to go. Today Katie had her last piano lesson before tomorrow's exam. With her teacher who is 4,500 miles away. Katie didn't say very much to B, she grinned a lot and played very very enthusiastically. And took her on a tour of our garden to show her that we were successfully growing things in our garden. We played B Katie's festival piece- I say we for somehow B convinced me to accompany my girl. After katie had played her piece beautifully to B, B suggested Katie look up her piece on the exam board syllabus. She was super excited when she discovered that her piece was a grade 5 piece!

Before the lesson, we did practise and had church & a meeting, a quick lunch. After the lesson, we spent a bit of time on a piece Katie has learnt and B told me I would be able to play the accompaniment. And she's right.... we are going to enjoy it. She watched a movie and had some snuggly time. She spent a lot of time dancing in her room after the film until we snuggled in bed reading a couple of chapters together. She then fell asleep with her own book and her arm around monkey and my pluck duck.
