Slovakia: Good and Bad

The final day of our week-long birding and butterfly tour dawned with rain, washing out our short morning bird walk. I did manage this shot of a song thrush (with a meal in its bill--not sure what), taken from our second-story window while packing--emblematic of the wonderful nature we had experienced.  The extra displays an example of the communist-era architecture which dominates town after town in Slovakia, seen on our drive back to Budapest.  I'll leave it at that for now; I need sleep to recover from the demanding but worthwhile tour--more on it tomorrow.
