(Cherry) pip at the post
Colleague reckons this snotty nose and constant trumpeting from my corner of the office is hayfever not an unidentified illness I'm harbouring from South Sudan. It would be less glamorous but more likely. It would also be very late onset hayfever, and highly annoying.
Thomasina thought I'd be a sensible person to advise on a dress she was buying for her 8 year old niece. I am positive she regretted her choice.
Went with Tom to the post office to weigh said dress, and had to wait an inordinate amount of time whilst clutching a box of cherries that we'd bought. Pork pies that we'd also bought (shared guilty secret) were burning a hole in my pocket.
Longstanding colleague and friend stayed with me for the night and we had a vociferous catch up over curry and enjoyed the soporific sounds of playing Wimbledon highlights in the background. Alison also has excellent knowledge of digestive problems and relation to general health after suffering from headaches worse than anyone I know.
Stayed up late prepping final materials for our volunteer group AGM tomorrow.
Dreamt I missed a plane in Yambio and was stuck there. At least I felt in more robust health in rural South Sudan than I feel here...
