So, today was the day - that we said goodbye to Laura, as she left with the Peace Corps for Macedonia for two years and 3 months! It was an early start, as her flight to Washington D.C. was at 7am, so that meant leaving the house at 5am. Although we had gone to bed at about 11pm last night, I hardly got any sleep - I don't think Laura got much either! Of course, at that time in the morning the roads were pretty quiet so we were soon down there, and all too soon were saying our teary-eyed farewells. Bon voyage Laura, and Good Luck! We're going to miss you!
The rest of the day was uneventful. I was packing for our departure tomorrow. Roger has to be up in Bromont (a little over an hour's drive east of Montreal) on business next week, so he had suggested I went with him, rather than stay home all alone. Unfortunately it means another early start, as our flight is at 7.30am!
