Rocking in the Canadian Rockies
These little guys rocked today. They did a lot of walking and leaping from rocks and hunting for mountain squirrels, which were quite tame, and they didn't whinge once! I didn't even have any bribes in my bag - just sandwiches and apples.
We caught the Jasper SkyTram at the lower station (1258m above sea level) up to the upper station (2263m) and then we hiked the steep climb to the summit of Whistlers Peak (2464m), stopping to admire the views and take a breather whenever needed. The views were fantastic and we even spotted our second set of 'big red chairs.' We played for a while climbing huge rocks and playing in the snow, before catching the gondola back down.
The rest of the afternoon was spent in the swimming pool and hot tub!
