And a Golden Pear...

There is a small orchard just in front of the bottom building: a huge bay tree, some citrus trees, a bush used for tea, and today I discovered a pear tree, with a solitary pear on it. While Mike has been replacing beams on the roof, I've been trying to free and tidy up this area, and we've lugged some water from the flat for them - apart from the bay tree, none of them are in very good shape.

We were up on the land early for the supposed connection of the internet - the man who turned up (reasonably on time) was obviously a bit non-plussed, and as we'd expected, was unable to connect - however, says they'll put posts up and do it eventually...
